Tourist activities to discover in the summer around
Village Vacances Murol
The Murol themed holiday village (Massif Central) inspires you to discover countless tourist activities in the Massif du Sancy and the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. Murol Castle, perched on a rocky outcrop, is the number one unmissable destination in terms of Auvergne heritage sites. The medieval tours and entertainment will inspire the children's imagination! Knights, falconers, jugglers and farmers in costume put on a great show to delight young and old alike. Next, discover the secrets of how the legendary Saint-Nectaire cheese is made. Did you know you can enjoy this cheese with... blueberry or apricot jam? The jam maker in the beautiful village of Saint-Nectaire, where you can discover unexpected and subtle pairings of flavours, is a must-visit. Enjoy a stroll around this unique village while you’re here and visit the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Cornadore church, one of the Auvergne's Romanesque treasures. Anyone who loves crafts or unusual geological discoveries will fall under the spell of the unique Fontaines Pétrifiantes (Petrifying Fountains), where you can visit the cave, spring, fountains and the moulding workshops which make the stunning bas-reliefs. In the Sancy mountains and the Massif Central, there are plenty of activities the kids will love. The Jonas troglodytic dwellings and the Roche Blanche (White Rock) are great examples.
